Description
This comic asks a simple question, what kind of gamer are you? Single or Multi? With games like Counter-Strike, ShadowRun, and Team Fortress 2 out there, does every game need a single player campaign to feel complete?
Some companies feel that if they don't release a multiplayer version with their single player that would effect the replay value of their games. Games like F.E.A.R. provide a free multi-player client for gamers.
I, myself am a singleplayer type of guy. If it doesn't have a singleplayer campaign I feel like I'm geting only half a game. Doesn't matter how many multi-player maps or player classes there are, I need the lone hero against the world sometimes. Most multi-player I do play tend to be just endless death matches that get old fast, esp. when I'm losing.
However, some games do offer a co-op playmode on a smaller level. Like Guild Wars for example, you can form a team and take on the world as you would if you were playing solo. We'll be seeing this in games such as Crackdown, GTA4 and others up and coming. I would love to see how those work out, but if it's anything like the co-op gameplay I get in GW then it should be a blast.

I prefer co-op.
